I Have Horizontal Lines on my LCD TV

Horizontal Lines on LCD TV

Nobody likes the feeling when their lovely TV stops working. There are two options people have when their TV Stops working. First, they can spend money fixing it. Second, they can just buy a new one. Usually, TVs are so cheap nowadays that sometimes it is not worth spending $300+ trying to fix your TV. Therefore, it is important to know how much your TV repair will cost before you start spending money.

This blog is meant to help you diagnose a specific type of issue with your LCD TV so that you don’t waste money trying to fix your TV.

Issue: Horizontal Lines on LCD TV

Diagnosis: Horizontal Lines on the TV is in most cases caused by a defective LCD Panel. The LCD Panel is the screen of your TV.

Solution: Your TV’s LCD screen is the most expensive part of the TV. We would not recommend trying to replace it, because the replacement cost could cost you way more than the cost of buying a new TV.

General Note: If the lines are vertical, that might mean the T-Con Board for your LCD TV is defective. In that case, it would most likely be worth fixing your TV. The average price for a T-Con Board is around $50. Some are more expensive and some are cheaper.

We hope that this blog helps your journey of trying to fix your LCD TV!

Good Luck!
